​American Indian physician and Bush Foundation Fellowship recipient Dr. Linda Bradfield Gourneau is a master of practitioner of guided imagery narration. Guided imagery sessions are designed to positively address and impact feelings of helplessness and loneliness, as well as the physical state, of the listener. Studies indicate many potent effects of guided imagery on physiological functions like reduced anxiety, heart and respiratory rates, cardiac complications, blood pressure, stress hormones, and an increase in immune cell messengers and natural opiates. ​

Linda Bradfield Gourneau, M.D., graduated with her Medical Degree from UND in 1989. She competed her Family Medicine Residency from UND in 1992. in 2000 Bradfield Gourneau received the honors of being named both an Integrative Medicine Fellow at the University of Arizona, and a Bush Fellow. She completed her training in medical acupuncturist in 2005 from Helms Medical Institute UCLA. She is now semi retired, focusing mainly on proficing acupuncture care to her patients. She is from Bismarck, ND. ​
